The PADI Rescue Diver Course will improve your skills as an aware and responsible scuba diver. By the end of the course, you'll be able to respond in a diving emergency situation and assist divers in distress.
The PADI Rescue Diver Course teaches you how to effectively perform diver assists and rescues, manage diving accident situations and give first aid. The program is an important step towards expanding your knowledge and experience as a scuba diver. During the course you will cover topics such as diving first aid, panicked diver response, missing diver procedures and search techniques, in- water artificial respiration and take part in dive accident scenarios. The PADI Rescue Diver learns to look beyond themselves and consider the safety and well-being of other scuba divers.
What will I Learn during the PADI Rescue Diver Course?
During the PADI Rescue Diver Course, you'll learn rescue-scene assessment and management, how to administer rescue breaths both in and out of the water, how to calm and tow a diver in distress, search and recovery techniques, procedures for surfacing and removing an unconscious diver from the water, correct ways to transport divers with suspected DCS (Decompression Sickness) and the best ways to assist local emergency services. You'll also learn important self-rescue techniques and how to activate a signalling device (safety balloon).
During the 3 day course you'll complete confined water sessions, put rescue management procedures in to practise in a real-life scenario and deal with panicked, distressed and unconscious divers in the water.
If you sign up for the PADI Rescue Diver Course, you need to have completed an EFR Course, or have been certified in CPR, within the last two years.
Who can participate in the PADI Rescue Diver Course?
If you're aged 12+ and have already completed the PADI Advanced Course (or equivalent), are in general good health and fitness and are not suffering from a cold or ear infection, you should be eligible to become a certified PADI Rescue Diver Course.
You must also have completed the Emergency First Responder Course or have been certified in CPR within the last 2 years (you must provide current certification).

Courses start every day. You can book now, or come in to see see us while you're on holiday in Koh Lanta, Phuket, Khao Lak. We offer free transfers to and from your resort in Koh Lanta, Phuket, Khao Lak for any of our dive courses or daily dive trips and Liveaboard.
What languages do you teach in?
We run PADI Rescue Diver Courses in English, German, Swedish and French. We run semi-supported courses in Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and Thai. Please let us know if you require course materials in another language and we will order them for you.
How much does it cost?
The PADI Rescue Diver Course costs 15,900 THB. At Peterpan Andaman Diving Co., Ltd., all our scuba certification courses include manuals and free scuba diving equipment rental. For the PADI Rescue Diver Course program you'll receive the PADI Rescue Diver Manual, slate. There may be a fuel surcharge to visit some of the further away dive sites if you choose to dive these sites during your course.
In addition, we teach all of our diver level courses in small groups to ensure that you receive the attention that you deserve. All our courses are taught to PADI Standards and prices include PADI certification fees.
On the dive boats, we supply breakfast, lunch, drinking water and fruit.
